Method of PaymentBank DraftDiverse Power offers a bank draft service as a convenient method of paying your electric bill. We will automatically debit your bank account or credit union account for the amount you owe. You will still receive an electric statement each month showing the amount taken out of your account for electric service. For more information, contact the Customer Service Department. Penalty Exempt Plan Consumers over age 62, on Social Security, or legally disabled will qualify for penalty exemption. This exemption prevents you from having to pay the $10.00 late charge should you have a delay in paying your bill. It will not, however, prevent your power from being disrupted should you fail to pay your bill. Levelized Billing A system of levelized billing has been approved by the Board of Directors for all residential members of Diverse Power. Both new and existing members with acceptable credit history may apply. The credit history will be based on the same standards as the Diverse Power deposits. The levelized bill will be based on the average consumption for the most recent 12 months' usage. Members with less than 12 months' billing history will be billed on the average of whatever history is available and adjusted monthly until 12 months' history is available. The bill amount will not be the same each month but will increase or decrease slightly as the consumption pattern changes. The real benefit to the members will be to prevent extreme fluctuations in payments because of seasonal increases and decreases in power consumption. The member will continue to pay the same rate as all other members. For more information complete the levelized agreement and mail or fax it to our office. Remote Payment CentersAll ServicesDiverse Power members in the Columbus area may now pay their Diverse Power bill at All Services. All Services is located at 2457 Airport Thruway in Columbus, GA in the Simons Plaza. Payments will be accepted Monday through Saturday. All Services also provides a night drop for your convenience. Payments may be made by cash, check, credit card and money orders.
