Outdoor Lighting

Effective April 17, 1996

Purpose
To provide revenue for patron's electric service and capital from the patrons. In compliance with cooperative principles and the Corporation's by-laws revenue for electric services is equal to the cost of service provided. All monies in excess of the cost of providing electric service is capital, at the moment of receipt, and will be credited to each patron's individual capital account.

Availability
Throughout the Cooperative's service area from existing lines of adequate capacity.

Applicability
Applicable only to outdoor lighting by ballast operated vapor lamp fixtures and poles conforming to Cooperative's specifications. Service will be rendered only at locations that, solely in the opinion of the Cooperative, are readily accessible for maintenance.

Type of Service
Single phase, 60 hertz at standard voltages. (Three phase service available under special terms and conditions.)

1) A volume use discount of $1.50 will be allowed for each fixture in excess of ten fixtures per customer, prorated according to the number and size of fixtures.
2) Bills for different premises will not be combined in calculating this charge. A premise is defined as a single contiguous area either owned or controlled by the customer.
3) Where the contract for outdoor lighting service under this schedule is executed with the State or a local government or any of their agencies, the above discount will apply to all fixtures.
4) Where it is necessary for the company to install additional poles for the exclusive purpose of rendering outdoor lighting service, a charge of $2.00 per month shall be made for each wood pole ad $6.00 per month for each metal pole.

Project RoundUp
Unless a member is prohibited as a matter of law from making charitable donations, or opts out of Project RoundUp by giving the Cooperative written or oral notice that the member does not wish to participate, the monthly bill for electric service for each member account shall be rounded up so that there is added to each bill an amount of cents sufficient to make the bill equal to the next highest dollar amount. A member may prospectively opt out of Project RoundUp at any time by giving the Cooperative oral or written notice.
