Diverse Power Foundation
Energizing Education To Empower Tomorrow's Leaders
Diverse Power Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit, charitable corporation that manages funds collected through Diverse Power’s Operation RoundUp®. Formed in 2002, Diverse Power Foundation seeks to enhance communities by providing grants and scholarships with funds collected through Operation Round Up®, a program through which co-op members “round up” their utility bills to the next dollar with the difference going to fund education and charitable programs within Diverse Power’s service area.
A volunteer, nine-member Board of Directors reviews applications for Diverse Power Foundation scholarships and grants, awarding scholarships to high school seniors graduating from accredited schools within the co-op’s service area and funding grants to support charitable purposes and educational programs and projects in the Diverse Power service area.
“At Diverse Power, we understand our purpose is not only to provide you with electric power but to serve as responsible members of our community as well,” says Diverse Power President/CEO Wayne Livingston. “That’s why we support charitable purposes and education through our Operation Round Up® program. We stand together to strengthen our communities and provide a brighter future for all our members”.
Diverse Power Foundation is managed by a nine-member board of directors made up of community leaders throughout the Diverse Power service area. Board members include Chairman Gordon Cone, Interim Vice Chairman Morris Tatum, Secretary Jim Sills, Directors Angela Barnett, Harriet Goodsell, Bubba Jeter, Joel Keith, Link Mitcham and Drucilla Whatley.
