Affordable Loans for home energy improvements
Diverse Power is pleased to offer a new and improved version of our existing Home Plus Loan Program. This new program offers better than ever interest rates for energy-related home improvements that will make our members more comfortable, while saving them money on their utility bills.
The program will continue to include the measures eligible under the existing guidelines: HVAC replacement, water heater replacement, ductwork repair/replacement, attic insulation, thermal envelope air sealing, wall insulation, floor insulation, attic ventilation, window replacement, and door replacement.
The new interest rates are what make the program more attractive than ever:
- 0.9% – Up to $5,500 for gas to electric HVAC and water heater replacement.
- 3.9% – Up to $5,500 for upgrading existing electric HVAC and water heater.
- 3.9% – Up to $2,000 for thermal envelope improvements (insulation, windows, etc.)
- 7.9% – Additional funding to the above dollars for larger scale projects.
Loan closing cost is $65, payable at loan closing.
Loan qualification is subject to assessment of individual creditworthiness and our underwriting standards. All Credit Union loan programs, rates, forms, and conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. Subject to certain conditions, loan default rate may be 16.9% APR. Improvements eligible for financing include: Central heat pump and air conditioners, heat pump water heaters, solar water heating systems with electric back up, replacement windows, roofs, and appliances. All of these items are required to be Energy Star rated for energy savings. Gas furnaces are eligible if combined with a heat pump or air conditioner installation. The furnace must also be Energy Star rated unless it is installed as an auxiliary heater for a dual fuel heat pump system. Additional eligible improvements include Marathon water heaters, duct work and other HVAC related items as well as insulation and other weatherization products. Loan items requested, but not listed above, will need EMC approval.
